Hey Gang,
Sitting tomorrow Saturday morning at 7am, hosted by yours truly.
And if you boys and girls are really good, I’ll read from a most excellent gift that I received from my father-in-law: The Zen of Farting by His Holiness, “Reepah Gud Wan”.
(I’m stupidly stoked to be reading this book! πŸ‘πŸ’¨πŸ™πŸΌ)
I know that NZC has typically done the 108 Gates ceremony for New Years, but our co-sangha and friends Against The Stream Nashville has the joint booked so we’re going to that instead!
ATS-Nash is going into 2018 by meditating and setting intentions. The party starts at 9:30pm Sunday (12/31) and carries on until midnight on Monday (1/1/2018πŸŽ‰). If you are looking for something Buddhist-y to ring in the New Year right, this is the ticket. I’m going and I’ll be happy to spend New Year’s with some of my fav Buddhist Buds. Maybe I’ll see you there?
All the dets can be found on ATS-Nash’s new site (which looks spectacular, by the by):

Next Tuesday is the First Tuesday of the Month which means it’s Newcomer’s Night! We will be doing our “Intro to Zen” class which is our primer to Zen Buddhism and (mostly importantly) instruction on sitting meditation (which is where it’s *at*).

If you want to start the new year with a solid meditation practice or simply want to polish the one you currently have, the drop by our place at 7am Tuesday,  1/2/2018 to get the New Year started off right.

I hope whatever you had was Merry and Bright.

πŸ’•~ Steph
